ASA OF THE CAROLINAS - Membership Application

I hereby apply for membership in the Chapter of the American Subcontractors Association of the Carolinas, and I agree to abide by and comply with all rules and regulations contained in the chapter by-laws and “The Professional Standards of Practice for Subcontractors”. My firm is actively engaged in subcontracting or in supplying materials and/or services to subcontractors. I understand that the dues schedule is as follows:

	1. $0 to $500,000 in sales	$800.00
	2. $500,001 to $2,000,000 in sales	$850.00
	3. $2,000,001 to $4,000,000 in sales	$900.00
	4. $4,000,001 to $6,000,000 in sales	$950.00
	5. $6,000,001 to $10,000,000 in sales	$1,050.00
	6. $10,000,001 to $15,000,000 in sales	$1,250.00
	7. Over $15,000,000 in sales	$1,550.00
	8. Local Only (Additional locations for MEMBER company)	$225.00

DUES CATEGORY applies to volume of business performed in North and South Carolina. The dues payment includes dues for ASAC state and ASA national dues and $55.00 subscription to ASA quarterly publication, “The Contractor's Compass”. I understand the dues category is self-determining, and paid annually to cover the fiscal period July 1 through June 30. I also understand the sales volume will be listed in the ASAC Membership Directory and on the ASAC Web Site.

MEMBERSHIP

Any established person, firm, partnership, or corporation which is regularly engaged as a subcontractor in the construction industry in areas as the Board of Directors may from time to time determine shall be eligible for regular membership as hereinafter provided. A subcontractor is considered to be one that regularly prepares and submits a lump sum bid to furnish materials and shop or installation labor to a prime or general contractor or another subcontractor according to plans and specifications. Any established person, firm, partnership or agent thereof, which is actively engaged in selling, supplying or distributing construction materials, supplies, equipment, or service pertaining thereto shall be eligible for membership. In addition, prime contractors, banks and lending agencies, insurance and surety bond, and others furnishing related services to construction subcontractors are also eligible for membership.

Membership with Insurance

I understand and agree that participation in any of the ASA or ASAC insurance programs is conditional upon paid-up membership in ASAC, and I further understand that membership dues must be paid for any period in which I participate in an ASA or ASAC insurance program.
